Wild daffodils at Dunsford, East Dartmoor

Over on East Dartmoor is a place called Dunsford, famous for its wild daffodils.

It is a beautiful wooded valley that winds alongside the river Teign.

When we got there I noticed the daffodils were just about on the turn, going slightly crispy on their outer petals. The sight however is just as spectacular as I imagined it would be.

As you can see, it's a beautiful trail alongside the river and I highly recommend a visit. If you go though, I must insist that you end up in The Royal Oak in Dunsford town - a true country pub. As we walked in I spotted 3 collies and 2 spaniels sitting around the lounge as their owners lunched - and the log fires warmed us all up.
