The big storm at Dawlish and the day after

The big waves and whaat

It was wild out the day of the storm. Clad in thermals, hat, scarf and gloves we braved the icy winds to capture the incredible tempestuous seas.  The next day was calm, and out on Dawlish Warren was a sight I'd never seen before, and am unlikely to ever again. Sea-life normally living at the bottom of the ocean had been washed ashore, from starfish, crabs of all sizes and so many different types of living shells, desperate to get back into the water. Not only was it a feast like no other for all the seabirds that congregated, but a golden opportunity for us photographers to capture sea-life not normally seen.
