In March 2023 many, many men walked a 7 mile route along the Exeter Canal, fundraising for Hospiscare, often in memory of a loved one.  My job was to be one of the photographers covering the walk and I concentrated on the start of the walk, the pub in the middle and the end of the walk where walkers ere rewarded with a hot pasty and a cold beer.  Walkers then retired into giant beer tents adorned with lots of screens to watch the rugby on. The day was poignant at times as people told stories of loved ones and shared their reasons for walking.  The overall feeling I picked up on was also a sense of celebrating life with much laugher too.

 

To date, over £91,500 has been raised from this walk!
